Silver

Silver is held as jewellery and investment, but more than half of demand comes from industry, especially solar panels, electronics and electric vehicles. Its smaller market makes it far more volatile than gold.

Why It Matters

Silver behaves like gold when people are scared and like copper when factories are busy.

In India

Indian silver prices crossed ₹2 lakh per kg in December 2025, then fell sharply during the metals crash of January 30, 2026.
