Offer for Sale (OFS)
In an offer for sale, promoters or early investors sell some of their existing shares to the public. No new shares are created, and the company itself receives none of the money.
Why It Matters
An OFS-heavy IPO tells you insiders are cashing out, which is not necessarily bad but worth knowing.
